Welcome to the wonderful world of rocket science! You are about to become mission control for your own backyard space station. Assemble a rocket launching pad, build a rocket from a soda bottle and launch the rocket over and over. Measure the highest point of your flight, experiment with different “rocket fuels,” calculate the air-to-water ratio, and more. There are 15 mission activities to choose from. Kit contains: 90° elbows, 4” pipe, 8” pipe, 2 plastic cups, end cap, long balloon, 3-way outlet elbow, threaded riser, decorative paper, slip/thread adapter, 1 liter soda bottle, street elbow, template for band, template for fins and tire valve. There is also a good-sized list of things to gather on your own. Don’t expect any high school physics in this kit, but beware of the hours and hours of fun you will invest watching launching enthusiasts enjoy themselves. Kit comes with a 20-page booklet detailing the construction and launching of the rocket, safety precautions, extra activities and definition of terms. Ages 8 and up, with adult supervision.
