New's Update

Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord:  and the fruit

of the womb is his reward.

Psalm 127:3

The household of Donald and Diana Ruark is pleased to

announce the arrival of

Derek Michael Ruark

Birthday: August 9, 2007

Weight: Eleven pounds Six ounces

Length: Twenty-two and one half inches

Head:  Fourteen and one half inches

Place:  Methodist Hospital

After a short yet intense labor, Derek arrived in excellent health ready to be received into the arms of his anxious family. With everyone gathered around just moments after the great event, Derek began his high calling of being a blessing to many. His incredible size adds to his cuddliness.  Mom is beginning the up -hill road to recovery and is making steady progress.  She fills Derek’s tummy and he fills her heart.  All is well.  Praise the Lord!

… the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting…

                               Psalm 103:17

Blessings to all of you,

Donald, Diana, Deanna, Donny, Douglas, Dana, Dreah, David,             and Derek.

Greetings Friends,

Thank you for helping us complete another busy year at Nature's Workshop Plus! We appreciate your business.

Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy

of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. And of some

have compassion making a difference:

                                   Jude 21-22

We've done our best to include as many user friendly options as possible allowing for quick and easy access because we know your time is valuable.

Listing the blessings of the past year would take the entire catalog. Our employees bless us everyday with their hard work ethic. Grandparents from both sides of the family have joined the office staff to assist with the tasks of a growing business.
Our 6 children continue to bless us daily. Deanna graduated Magna Cum Laude from college this year with a BS in nursing. How pleased she made us as she approached us the morning of graduation smiling and tearfully greeting each of us while adorned in her regalia complete with honors medal and cords. She is now employed as a RN in a cardiac unit, volunteers in a medical mission clinic and is prayerfully considering a medical mission trip to the Amazon in the summer of ’07. Donny will graduate from college in May ’07 with a degree in Paramedic Science. Working as a medic is challenging. He hopes to serve on a medical helicopter after gaining the proper skills. He is a fellow on the go, and spent his spare time this year in in-depth fire training school. With Donny as his role model it looks like the medical/rescue thread continues to be woven in our family as Douglas is seeking enrollment into Emergency Medical Technician training. He will graduate from high school this year, and he plans to earn a degree in Criminal Justice beginning in the fall. Douglas and Dana are both members of the Civil Air Patrol. They are learning very valuable community service and life skills. Participating together enhances their already close relationship. Dana is playing violin and mom bassoon in a community orchestra. It is very enjoyable and provides a brief change of pace once a week. Dreah is also advancing on her violin, though I think it takes “second fiddle” to her love for art. David is becoming a cellist. He loves playing and thinks it is the greatest accomplishment to complete a piece. He admires his big brothers and is so pleased to tell others that Donny is a fireman. Because Douglas is so patient with him, he is also becoming a good target shooter.
This year’s photos for the catalog were taken in the Great Smoky Mountains. Deanna and dad loaded up their photography equipment and spent three days “shutter bugging” in one of America’s most beautiful forests. (We hope to add some of the photos to our website in the near future.)
Special thanks to our employees. We would not be the same without each of them: Rebecca Jones, Ross Porter, Caitlin Taylor, Christina Lady, Jonathan Reed, and Elise Knapp.  We are also thankful for a congregation which supports us and prays the blessings of God on us when we have needs.

Sincerely,
The Ruark family
